Arnaud Delorme PhD
He is a Research Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences in California (USA) and the Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego – UCSD (USA). Serving as Principal Investigator (CNRS Professor) at the Université Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier (France), he is also the author of “Why our minds wander: Understand the science and learn to focus your thoughts” (2023). His research interests include the dynamic changes in the brain associated with extraordinary states of consciousness, including meditation, psychoactive agents, and mediumship.

He earned his master’s degree in Cell Biology and Computer Science from Paris XXI University (France) and later completed his PhD in Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience at the Université Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier (France).

Following this, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Terry Sejnowski’s laboratory at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies from 2000 to 2003 and in Scott Makeig’s laboratory at the Institute of Neural Computation at UCSD. He has been recognized for his contribution to EEG research and was honored with the Bettencourt-Schueller Young Investigator Award in 2002.
