Ann Linda Baldwin PhD
She is a Professor Emerita of Physiology at the University of Arizona (USA), the Director of Mind-Body-Science, and a Reiki Master. With 20 years of experience, she has practiced Reiki on both individuals and animals. Additionally, she serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Center of Reiki Research and has participated in various review panels for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She has authored over 120 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and written the books “Reiki in clinical practice: A science-based guide” (2019) and “The vagus nerve in therapeutic practice” (2023). Her research focuses on studying the efficacy of mindfulness meditation, biofeedback, Reiki, trauma release exercises, and equine therapy in alleviating the detrimental effects of emotional stress.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Bristol (UK), her master’s degree in Radiation Physics from the University of London (UK), and her PhD in Physiology from Imperial College, University of London (UK).
